 Hello
my name is Andy
(check-in # 3). I am a 6 to 8 month old male Sheppard mix.
Someone left me at the end of the Humane Society road and I found
my way to the shelter and they gave me a home.
I tried painting with my feet but didn't much like that so I decided
to use my tail instead. Not bad, huh!

 Hello
my name is "Big Boy"
(check-in #382). I am a 4 year old neutered male Mastiff. When
I got lost I went to a house, laid on the couch, and made myself
a home, ( something we Mastiff are known for). They could not
keep me and brought me to the shelter.
I used my nose for the painting, I didn't want paint under my
toenails. It was fun!

 Hello
my name is Bridgette,
and I am the shelter mascot. I am 9 years old female English Mastiff
found on a construction site by a nice old man who gave me food.
His boss was going to hurt me so he brought me to the shelter.
I have a nice place to live and I am very spoiled.
I have hip problems so I have to use my tail to paint. Did you
notice that I put my "heart" into it? |
|
 Hello
my name is Molly
(check-in #165). I am a 6 year old spayed female Bassett found
as a tray and brought to the shelter. ( I forgot my sunglasses
when they took me out for my picture).
I like doing my painting and I think it is very pretty. |
|
 Hello
my name is Slim
(check-in #337). I am a 6 plus year old neutered male Pitbull
mix. My owner tied my to a tree in the woods using cable. I tore
a hole in my mouth trying to chew through the cable. When the
Humane Society took me to the vet for my mouth they also discovered
my rear leg has been broken at some rime and never fixed. I did
not have a good life until I came to the shelter where I get lots
of love and give it in return. I think my tail painting looks
pretty good! |

 Hello
my name is Smiley
(check-in # 91). I am a 4 plus year old spayed female Shepard
mix. I was left in a cage outside of the shelter with no information.
I look mean when you walk up to my cage but I am really smiling
at you ( I'm just nervous). I also have a hearing problem. Painting
was fun! |

 Hello!
My name is Teri!
I am a Pomeranian/Scottish terrier mix born in August 2001 in
a private home and adopted from the West Volusia Humane Society
in October 2001.When my mom had me her owners didn't want me or
my sibling so they took me to Winn-Dixie and gave us away. The
lady that took me couldn't keep me so I went to a foster home.
( I was only 5 weeks old and weighed a pound and couldn't stay
at the shelter). After 4 weeks with my foster family I got adopted.
I have a new sister, Zoe, a Terrier mix also adopted from the
West Volusia Humane Society. |

We had a lot of fun doing the paintings and I hope you enjoy what
we have done. (It was my human Mom's idea.)
Please remember that the sale of all of these paintings will help
the animals still at the shelter who have not been as luck as
me to find a home. |

Getting to play with toys made painting fun! |

 Hello,
my name is Goldie.
I am a blonde rooster found walking down Humane Society Road.
I am the prettiest rooster around and I like to ride in cars.
Since I'm the "best", painter here at the shelter, I
know you are going to like my painting. |

 Goose
Goose, that's my name. If you watch me when
you come to look at animals you will see me admiring myself in
your bumper or hubcaps. Boy, do I like to look at myself!
They love me at the shelter and I am very spoiled.
The paper felt funny under my feet so it's hard to see my webs
but I sure had fun. |
